ISSFHK Football Tournament (U14 Silver Division) - 1st Runner Up
The YHKCC U14 Boys football team participated in the ISSFHK Football Tournament and achieved very pleasing results. The seven participating schools in the division played against each other in the league format during September and October and the top four teams qualified for the championship final which was played on 12th November. Throughout the league tournament, the team snatched 5 wins and scored a total of 47, clinching the league title.
The team participated in the ISSFHK championship playoff on 12th November in the Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre. During the semi-final, the team displayed great resilience by overcoming an early goal deficit and won the tie after a spectacular second half performance. The final was an extremely close contest with West Island School. Our team lost by one goal and was awarded the 1st Runner-up of the tournament.
Despite not being able to clinch the championship, the team displayed great character, resilience and determination throughout the tournament. Let us join together to congratulate the players for their excellent achievements!
